The Unicaja Ultra Sierra Nevada has kicked off its thirteenth edition with the official opening of registration for 2027, once again establishing itself as one of the leading events in national and international ultra-trail running.
From April 2 to 4, 2027, Granada and the Sierra Nevada will once again become the epicenter of European trail running, welcoming thousands of runners who will seek to push their limits in the highest-altitude ultra-trail race on the Iberian Peninsula.
The race, organized by TerraIncognita Sport, offers a unique experience that combines sports, nature, and the local landscape, winding through some of Andalusia’s most spectacular scenery. From the historic heart of Granada to the high peaks of the Sierra Nevada, participants will embark on a journey that symbolizes much more than just a competition: the personal conquest of their own summit.
With race formats tailored to different skill levels and profiles, the Unicaja Ultra Sierra Nevada has become a must-attend event on the international calendar thanks to its spectacular nature, its technical demands, and the incomparable natural setting through which it winds.
The opening of registration follows a 2026 edition marked by excitement, epic moments, and massive international participation, reaffirming the appeal of Sierra Nevada and Andalusia as a top-tier sports destination.
The organizers remind participants that spots are limited and that the high demand seen in recent editions suggests a high volume of registrations right from the start.
