MARATÓN is the reduced version of the UNICAJA ULTRA SIERRA NEVADA. The route, checkpoints and aid stations are the same as the 40 km from Quéntar to Pradollano, where the finish line of the four modalities is installed.
It is designed to offer an alternative with less physical demanding and a bigger timeframe for those who want to be part of the UNICAJA ULTRA SIERRA NEVADA environment.
MARATÓN SIERRA NEVADA has the start line at 08:00 a.m. on Saturday 5 April at Quéntar
MARATÓN has an accumulated altitude of 2.700 m+ . With the character of semi-autonomy the MARATÓN has a maximum time of 10 hours to be completed. The maximum bib numbers available are 450.
The withdrawn runners will be transferred to Granada as soon as possible (departure of the Ultra). Those who want to go to Pradollano should wait for the bus departing from that point at 10:20 and 14:30h
The withdrawn runners will be transferred to Pradollano as soon as possible at the end of the refreshment post.

Due to the great difference in weather conditions between the different sections of the Ultra Sierra Nevada course and the impossibility of knowing for certain the weather conditions during the race, the obligatory equipment indicated will be MANDATORY from start to finish.
It may seem excessive but in the mountains you never know what can happen and in case of an accident this material is vital.
We recommend that you check the weather forecast the days before to choose the equipment to use.

Those registered for the marathon are recommended to use the bus to get to quéntar, otherwise they may have parking problems due to the limitations of the municipality.
those participants who have to pick up their bibs at the start in quéntar and who take the bus from cenes de la vega, should do so at 6:30 am to avoid queues.
The organisers have also planned a FREE shuttle bus service for all runners finishing in Pradollano and wishing to go to Granada, which will connect Pradollano with Granada, where the Ultra Sierra Nevada starts.
