In this sense, the participant exempts the Organization of possible health problems that may arise from their participation in UNICAJA ULTRA SIERRA NEVADA.

For runners participating in the ULTRA and TRAIL modalities, it is recommended to have a medical certificate that certifies their fitness to perform efforts in the practice of sports of these characteristics. They must also fill out and sign on site at the bib pick-up the “DECLARATION OF PHYSICAL APTITUDE AND LIABILITY EXEMPTION DOCUMENT” (which will appear for information purposes next to the registration form on the official website of the race).

All participants will have the right to cancel their registration and receive the corresponding refund according to the terms stated on the registration page.
Only requests for refunds due to cancellation sent 15 days before the event will be accepted.
All refunds will be made within 30 days from the date of acceptance of the request.
Once the request for cancellation has been made, the place becomes available to the Organization, which will assign it to the candidate at the top of the waiting list at that time.
The race route will be marked with marking tape and specific signage created for the race. The race route will be published on the official website of the race. Any change or modification will be made public by the same means.
Each participant must follow the entire marked route, without skipping the signs and passing through all the checkpoints.
In addition to the fixed controls indicated on the official website https://ultrasierranevada.com, the Organization may place “surprise” controls of passage or material at any point along the route.
Each participant is obliged to attend to the requests and questions of any commissaire, doctor, nurse or person in charge of refreshments, whether at the stipulated checkpoints or at any other point along the course.
It is strictly forbidden to receive external assistance or refreshments during the race outside the points provided by the Organization: these will coincide with the official refreshment points of the race. Likewise, it is forbidden to be accompanied by other people who are not registered participants in the race.
The participants of the different modalities will be able to have personal assistance only within the ASSISTANCE ZONE that will be properly delimited next to the official refreshment posts. The refreshment area itself will be restricted to runners and assistance that are properly identified. This will be a restricted area with no public access.
Only one accredited person per runner may access the ASSISTANCE ZONE of each refreshment post.
During the delivery of the bibs, each runner of the ULTRA, TRAIL and MARATHON will be able to request up to a maximum of 2 accreditations for assistance so that they can be distributed among the different refreshment posts. This accreditation only serves to enter the ZONES RESTRICTED to the runners of each refreshment post.
At each refreshment point there will be a specific closing time, being an indispensable requirement to pass before the established closing time in order to continue in the race.
Each refreshment post will have food and beverages that will vary depending on the kilometer where it is located. Food and beverages must be consumed at the refreshment post itself in sufficient quantity to ensure sufficient energy reserves to reach the next one, except for water, which can also be loaded in the tanks and reservoirs carried by the runner.
The race bib must be worn in order to use the refreshment area.
In the finish area of Pradollano all participants will have an area equipped with hot food, medical service, showers, etc.
Each runner of the ULTRA and TRAIL will receive, when picking up the race bib, two bags with the material he/she may need at the refreshment posts in the town of Pinos Genil and Pradollano (before the ascent), which will then go to the finish line.
ULTRA R3L3VOS runners will also receive two additional bags for the same locations.
The runners of the MARATHON and HALF will be able to hand in a bag at the start that will go to the finish line.
These bags, delivered by the organization and duly identified with the bib label provided by the Organization, must be delivered the same day of the start in the space provided for this purpose at the start of each modality. The runner will deliver his bags before entering the starting box.
Only the bags given by the organization when picking up the race bib will be accepted in the checkroom.
The bag will be transported by the Organization to Pinos Genil, so that the runner can collect from the bag the material he/she needs and then deposit in it the material he/she has left over.
It must be returned closed and the Organization will transport it to the finish line in Pradollano.
Very Important: Runners who withdraw and want to recover their bags must take into account that all bags will be available in the space provided at the checkpoint and refreshment point of Pinos Genil from 06:00 until the closing time of this checkpoint.
The Organization will not accept claims for loss or breakage of the material contained in the bags. It is therefore recommended that the material inside the bag is not fragile or valuable and that the runner ensures that the bag cannot be opened during transport, reinforcing its closure, for example by means of flanges.
The Organization will also make available to the participants of the three modalities a permanent checkroom service in the bib delivery area so that they can leave any material they wish to have when they arrive at the finish line located in Pradollano.
Likewise, in this case, the Organization will not check the condition of the bag or the material inside it, so it will not attend to claims for breakage of the bag and/or the material inside it, nor for the loss of the objects it contains. It is therefore recommended that both the bag and the material inside it are not fragile or valuable and that the closure of the bag is well secured to prevent loss in transport.
Throughout the race there will be several medical and security teams that will be coordinated with 112 by the central management of UNICAJA ULTRA SIERRA NEVADA.
These teams will be distributed among the different refreshment posts and the runner will be able to request their help or assistance if needed.
Random or general medical controls may be carried out at some points. Refusal to make a control or disrespect to the doctor or assistant who asks for it will result in the immediate invalidation of the race bib.
All runners will submit to the doctor’s judgment whenever requested by the doctor, being the assessment of the medical team the one that prevails over any other, so the doctors may:
Eliminate from the race (by cancelling the bib) any runner who is considered unfit to continue.
Order the evacuation of any runner they consider to be in danger.
Order the hospitalization of any runner when deemed necessary.
Abandonments must be made at the Control Points. If due to an accident or injury the runner is immobilized and cannot reach a control point, he/she will activate the rescue operation by contacting the organization by telephone through the Emergency Mobile Phone.
Once at the refreshment post, the runner will communicate his desire to abandon the race to the person in charge of the refreshment post so that he can cancel his bib and identify him as having withdrawn.
It should be noted that only at the refreshment posts, indicated as points with RETURN CONTROL, there will be means of transport to evacuate runners who abandon the race.
In case of bad weather conditions or force majeure, the Organization reserves the right to suspend, neutralize or modify the time slots and/or the route of the race.
In case of cancellation of the race due to force majeure and more than 7 days before the start date, a partial refund of the registration fee will be made according to the date of the cancellation and therefore of the expenses already incurred.
In the event that such cancellation occurs during the 7 days prior to the departure of UNICAJA ULTRA SIERRA NEVADA and for reasons beyond the Organization’s control, or in case of suspension of the race once the departure has taken place, no reimbursement will be considered.
Los árbitros de carrera presentes en el recorrido, así como cualquier miembro de la Organización, vigilarán la aplicación del Reglamento y están habilitados para aplicar de manera inmediata las penalizaciones o descalificaciones siguientes:
